The oldest belt recorded in the archives is the Ceraukste belt (not the Lielvārde belt as many would think). Each element of its design is unique, with no repetitions along its entire length. This belt features 59 delicate pattern threads and is the widest among the known Zemgale belts. Its base showcases a rich tone reminiscent of ripe rye, accented by a hint of blue along the edges. The sides of the belt are adorned with a decorative fringe.
